Older Adult Ministries
Reverend Sally A. Robinson has been an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since 1987. She has served congregations in Kentucky, Iowa and Missouri. She has been in ministry with older adults since 1999.
As Chaplain for the Older Adult Ministries, Sally Robinson will:
- Visit with members of congregations outside of the Columbia area who are in Columbia hospitals and nursing homes when requested by their pastor.
- Help prepare Elders and Deacons to visit and take communion to persons in nursing homes.
- Provide programs on:
- Grief Care
- Spirituality and Aging
- Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia and caregiving
- Resources available to help people in their homes
- Levels of care (ie; assisted living and skilled care)
- Help a congregation start an older adult ministry program.
